The Science Behind Hot Water Pressure Washers
Cold water pressure washing works by mechanical force, blasting contaminants off the surface. That’s effective for dirt, dust, and loose debris. Grease is different. It’s a hydrocarbon, and it bonds to surfaces in a way that water pressure alone has trouble breaking. Hot water changes the equation in two ways:- It reduces surface tension, which allows water to get underneath the grease layer and physically lift it away from the surface rather than pushing it around
